All of these pictures were taken during a trip to the Norwegian bird island Runde that I did with some friends from Mölndals fotoklubb
Pictures were taken with a Nikon D300 with a 20-35mm f/2.8 or 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 VR. Having a tele lens with vibration reduction (VR) technology greatly improved the results that I had. Unfortunately, the lens has to be stopped down at least 1 stop to acheive some sharpness and while it's perfectly fine daytime, a 300mm f/8 is not very exciting during late evenings on the bird mountain. A lot of good shots were lost as a result from the birds' high speed in the air and the slow shutter speeds due to the small aperture.
